LAKESHORE'S CHEER COACH STEPS DOWN
Lakeshore Middle School is saddened to learn that Coach Jessica Lafferty is stepping away from the Head Cheer Coaches position that she has held for the past 5 years to spend more time with her family. Coach Lafferty has been a staple of excellence for the Lakeshore's Athletic Community. During her tenure Coach Lafferty was instrumental in maintaining the stunting safety certifications and training required for cheer coaches around the district. The preparation necessary for our middle school student athletes to continue their career in cheer leading at the High School level. She also brought discipline, respect, commitment, and teamwork, to the cheer teams at Lakeshore all while growing the enthusiasm for the sport. She will be greatly missed.
LAKESHORE WELCOMES NEW CHEER COACH ASHLEY YURO
Coach Yuro comes to us with a wealth of cheer experience.
I am highly interested in helping create an amazing season filled with fun, learning, teamwork, and amazing memories for the LMS Cheer Team.
Cheerleading is something I am very passionate about. It builds strong individuals who love to work hard, set goals, and give them a great understanding of where teamwork can get you. I also believe it helps kids believe in themselves and gives them something to be proud of. I personally have 12 years of cheerleading experience with School, Rec, and Allstar Teams. I have been the head coach of the Pop Warner team, River Plaza Charges. As well as being an Assistant Coach for Rec/Allstar Cheer Team with Titan Cheer Alliance in New Jersey. We moved to Mooresville three years ago, and I am now highly involved with One United. I do most of their online marketing material both for internal and external marketing, schedules, flyers, and videos and enjoy getting out in the community for fundraisers and helping out any place I am needed.
